Mullets, mom jeans and platform shoes, vinyl records, board games and rubix cubes… Have you noticed how quickly young adults are bringing back “old school” trends nowadays?
At WLH, we’ve certainly seen more and more people wanting to sleep the “old school” way, or as we like to say it,“Sleeping how Mother Nature intended!” 🌱
And unlike other fads, we don’t think this one is going anywhere. In fact, we’re pretty sure that quite the opposite will happen. Going “green” is going to grow.
If we human beings want to preserve our planet for our children and grandchildren and the future generations to come, we can’t think of a better way to do just that than to save the Earth 🌎 while you sleep!
Now, while a White Lotus Home mattressmay not be the oldest mattress ever, they have been known to last over 3 decades with proper use and care. That’s what makes the very first mattress WLH started business with in 1981 one of our continued best sellers for over 40 years.
We get it.A new mattress (and in some cases even a topper or pillow) can feel like a big investment, and with any investment often comes risk. You might be worried, thinking…
“What if I don’tlikemy new mattress?”
“What if it’s too soft or too firm?”
“I want a natural mattress, but I’m just not sure which one is right for me.”
We’ve got great news! There are a couple of ways you can get to know our products before you buy.

People who have migrated to a firm mattress can usually offer a long list of reasons for doing so. But chiropractors, doctors and other medical professionals also tout the benefits of spending seven or eight hours a night resting on a firm mattress. These include:
Superior comfort. You can never have too much support, but you can always have too little support. This is especially true for older people and those with back, neck or joint problems.
Proper alignment of the spine. Proper posture matters, even during sleep. If your backbone is all out of whack for eight hours, it can be hard to function normally the next day. A firm mattress does a better job of keeping nicely aligned so you can get through the day without a lot of stress or strain.
Deeper rest. The human body can’t fully rest on a soft or sagging mattress, because it’s always trying to compensate for the unorthodox positions. And it’s not just the spine that requires excellent posture. Even your limbs, neck and other body parts need a comfy, cozy retreat for a great night’s sleep.
Proper weight distribution. Not enough support means that your body will eventually sag in one direction, which is a leading cause of misalignment in joints and muscles.
Ongoing health benefits. There’s an axiom in the sleep industry that “proper rest = proper health.” During sleep, your body does a hundred different things to repair and rejuvenate. Cells are restored. Human growth hormone gets activated. Insulin levels are reduced. Without a firm mattress to give deep rest, you’re missing out on these important health benefits every night.
