Hello and greetings! We have been very eco-conscious for years, and so were very excited to find bedding that was safe and clean, personally and for the planet. I bought my first White Lotus futon when they were displayed in the front window of The Whole Earth Center in Princeton. Our family was little at the time. The next futon, buckwheat hull neck pillow and three great pillows with beautiful fabric covers, were bought at the Chambers Street store? Not sure if that is the street name but I think so. It was a cool little shop off of Nassau Street Street in Princeton. LOVED LOVED LOVED the fabric choices for covers both for the futons and the pillows! Next double futon came from the super big shore on Nassau Street. It had really great showrooms with futons, furniture, pillows, covers and was a place you could spend all day checking out sooo many great options. We had a record store on Nassau St then so spent lots of time there with our two little ones. Next we ordered two twin futons. We moved to Pennsylvania and by then you were in New Brunswick. We bought our first stowaway from there, and a super cover that had ties for when it needed to be rolled up and tucked away, along with many more pillows and some really nice eco foam padding. Our latest purchases were a queen futon, another double, a topper and more pillows. My daughter has her own family now. She and her husband sleep on a White Lotus mattress. My grandchildren slept on White Lotus crib mattresses and now all three are on White Lotus twins. An extra stowaway was brought back over to Mamo’s house for an extra bed when all they all sleep over here. So that is three generations of White Lotus lovers and a timeline which White Lotus has continued to be a part of. The quality, comfort, integrity and vision of White Lotus set a standard when not many were thinking of all the important eco factors involved. I applaud Marlon and the many workers through out the decades who were key to producing such an impressive line of eco-friendly/eco-conscious super high quality home products! What an amazing impact you have made in the lives of many.

My White Lotus Home Story -

I have been a very satisfied customer since 2015 when the Highland Park store was opened. My home is fully furnished by WLH!

My first purchases were bedding including lots of organic cotton pillows/pillowcases, and two futon cotton mattresses (California King and Queen) with sheets and duvets. Then the next purchase was a futon couch with center table and two side tables which I still have but have since replaced the mattress for the couch.

Next purchase from WLH is in one bedroom which is a queen-size bed frame with a cotton futon mattress along with sheets and two duvets. I replaced the mattress once (at WLH).

Next purchase for the other bedroom i has queen size bed frame with cotton futon mattress along with complete bedroom furniture which I purchased at White Lotus Home – two dressers and two nightstands. Also purchased sheets, new pillows/pillowcases.

Most recent purchase is dining room set – table, 6 chairs with custom cotton organic fabric, and breakfront. At same time I ordered cotton stow for exercising.

Currently I have 11 pillows from WLH in sizes ranging from king to small. The pillowcases have lovely designs. I also purchased an exercise mat covered in organic cotton, two bolsters, custom curtains.

Almost all the coverings of duvets, stow, chairs are sweet potato colored organic cotton.

Not only have I enjoyed my excellent high quality purchases but my experience with WLH sales and installation folks has been exceptional. I have enjoyed the pleasure of working with Elizabeth over the years.

Thanks for the opportunity to support the sustainability our environment by purchasing WLH products which are environmentally friendly and support sustainability. That goes along with my commitment to buy organic food and clothing.

I am attaching a photo of a Viking end table I purchased in October 2015, as an old purchase. Besides pillows and bed linens and mattresses which have since been replaced I think this may be one of my first purchases that I still have.

Thank you for considering the following entry in your sweepstakes:

I have found a few pounds of your organic wool to be a gold mine! That and a few pillow protectors have given me three heavenly pillows. I first put a few sheets of the wool inside a protector, folded it in half, and then placed it inside an organic cotton drawstring tube bag. It's now a bouncy back pillow that transforms my hard plastic chair into a wellspring of comfort. I thought it would be too thick or too soft but it hits just the right spot and keeps on giving! My back keeps telling me it's much happier!

Then I needed a pillow to put on top of my wedge cushion to give it extra padding when I'm elevating my problematic legs. I've found that a few sheets of the wool inside a protector and an organic cotton pillow case have me on cloud nine every day and never really ready to get off!

Lastly, there's my Little Chubby, my knee pillow. Same basic recipe, stuffed pretty high. Now I can sleep on my side without putting so much pressure on my knees. And I'm sleeping much better!

thank you for the opportunity to share these white lotus stories, as its something very near and dear to me... have been sleeping on white lotus futons for 40+ years, almost my entire life - my first bed was a white lotus futon back in the early 80's and the scent to this day is embedded in my memory as one of the supreme joys of life - from then on every time i'd get a new futon it was a heavenly event

being raised in a very holistic health / earth conscious way, getting our organic food from the whole earth center in princeton and then our bedding there as well was one of the coolest aspects of childhood... for the next 4 decades white lotus futons, pillows, sheets, covers, fibers and fabrics were a major part of our organic lifestyle and it still is to this day

being an artist, two of my favorite art projects involved white lotus goods - the first was my 'cosmic futon' - i ordered this full size cotton futon, 2 kapok pillows, an organic cotton sheet set, an organic cotton zippered futon cover and this beautiful convertible wood frame all from white lotus in 2018 as i moved into my new 'yome' home studio (part yurt, part geodesic dome)

i hand dyed the futon cover and the sheet set, and then painted every little white star on the futon cover by hand,,, it was a big project but i loved how it turned out, and have been sleeping on / sitting on this beautiful piece of work every day for nearly 7 years... i also hand made the yellow pillow from buckwheat hulls and fabric i got from you guys, and then hand dyed a decorative pillow cover i got from white lotus in the very early 90's - so this whole setup is 100% white lotus!

i make organic clothing and have lots of photos modeling the clothing in my space here, and i've had many people write to me and ask about the futon because they loved it so much :) i'd always refer them to white lotus for the healthiest sleep gear on earth!

my second favorite project was the 'cosmic couch' - my father hand made the couch from cedar wood on our land - hand harvested milled and built! i ordered a set of pillows and a custom cushion for it back in 2011, and my mother and i made the covers from custom printed organic cotton fabrics, also with a celestial tone... i absolutely love how it came out, and without white lotus it wouldn't have been possible to make something completely organic and custom sized

white lotus has been such a huge part of my life - i cannot imagine sleeping on anything else, it really is the best bedding on the planet!! i am extremely sensitive to anything that isn't clean green and organic so it means the world that you guys are still there doing what you do, and as an artist who works in organic fibers you've also provided the ideal mediums for me over a lifetime as well

Please don't let the depth of meaning here escape you with the simplicity of the story. I have had 4 major surgeries in the last calendar year starting September 5 2024. In total I've endured 12 major surgeries - 4 total shoulder rotator cuff repairs, twice each on each shoulder, and 6 cervical spine surgeries. Then two other major surgeries

On Wednesday, September 10 I will have a pinched spinal cord surgical repair with posterior fusion which will leave my spine fused at 8 levels from Cervical - 2 to Thoracic - 2. In addition I have been diagnosed with cerebrospinal fluid leak due to hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome - a genetic connective tissue disorder that renders my bones, muscles, and tendons out of place on the daily woth myriad disruptions to my musculoskeletal system and all other systems in the body are affected.

This upcoming surgery will be extremely taxing and painful. I will be in a neck brace 24 hours a day for six weeks following the procedure.

All of the above, as you can imagine makes it extremely difficult to sleep. My dreamton mattress allows me to rest, recover, and rejuvenate. Previous to this Dreamton, I have spent thousands of dollars on so-called state of the art mattresses which turned out to be useless for me and unfortunately non refundable. I've given them all to good homes for people who don't require the absolute best! My most recent purchase from White Lotus was a new set of organic cotton sheets and a kapok beanbag chair because I will need to sleep upright for six weeks after the surgery on September 10.

Due to medical condition I am extremely allergic to the toxic materials that most commercial products in America contain. This is a literal nightmare - these toxic materials make me restless, irritated, confused, discontented, and produce an enormous amount of anxiety and insomnia due to their fight or flight inducing properties.

In short, the White Lotus cotton and wool Dreamton, organic cotton sheets, wool and Kapok pillows allow me the rest, relaxation, and rejuvenation required to recover from 7 major surgeries in the last 5 years. My body is worn out and the White Lotus sleep hygiene products are the only thing that keeps me going, moving forward. Sleeping with White Lotis products allows me to manage chronic pain without addictive pain relievers. Thank you White Lotus.

I bought the futon sofa frame with a mattress, pillows, and covers at the Princeton store 21 years ago (the frame outlived the store). I absolutely refuse to part with the sofa. A few years ago, it moved with me across several state borders, arriving in perfect shape.
